He holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in information systems, a diploma in computer systems technology, and an Artificial Intelligence (AI) program certification with several PhD-level courses in information systems.

Bainey holds several prestigious certifications, including PMP, Agile/SCRUM, Prosci, ITIL, and AI. These qualifications enable him to effectively direct and manage IT projects, portfolios, AI development, and integration and change initiatives. His experience spans the application of PMI-PMBOK, PROSCI Change Management, and Agile/SCRUM approaches, extending to digital transformation project development in areas such as GenAI, AI, ML, LLM, Deep Learning, Agile, DevOps, AI chatbots, IoT, and continuous improvement. • Authored a best-seller, AI-Driven Project Management: Harnessing Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT to Peak Productivity and Success, an influential work published by Wiley Publishing (April 2024) in English and Chinese (2025)<

•Leading the AI strategy and implementation for a next-gen robotic biopsy platform, integrating advanced machine learning and real-time image fusion; collaborated with AI lab heads at Harvard and Stanford to optimize clinical precision; secured Health Canada approval in April 2025, launching Canada’s first AI-powered robotic prostate cancer biopsy system.

•Served as President for the Northern Alberta PMI Chapter (PMI-NAC) for the 2023-2024 term.

•Co-authored the AI Essentials for Project Professionals Guide for PMI Global, published in September 2024.

•Contributed to the first-ever global generative AI PMI course, published in September 2023.
